Wolwekrantz Guest Cottage is located up a mountain road and off the beaten track. The romantic setting of our large property provides magnificent views of the bay, the mountains, the harbour and the beach. Everything is close and accessible, and the beach is only 1 km from our house.
The cottage has loads of character that is enhanced by natural stone, wood and terracotta. The open-plan lounge and dining room has comfortable sofas and Oregon pine furniture. The large wooden windows let in the view and the area adjoins a well-equipped kitchen with a microwave, hob, coffee machine, kettle, toaster and fridge.
The cottage can accommodate four guests; the main bedroom has a queen-size bed, built-in cupboards and an en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower. A wooden staircase leads to the cosy attic bedroom, which children love. It has two single beds and there is a second bathroom downstairs with a shower and a separate toilet.
Guests can walk up the mountain and enjoy a panoramic view, even as far as Cape Point. If you prefer to relax, you can lounge by the swimming pool in our magnificent garden, where a mountain stream feeds shaded ponds. Alternatively, enjoy the peace of our secluded and shady garden where you can braai or simply watch the squirrels play in the oaks. A bonus for our European guests is that host, Jacqui, speaks fluent German, Dutch and some French.

"Sadly we arrived at our destination Wolwekranze cottage...on the 23rd March 2020 as planned ...two hours later our President Mr Cyril Ramaphosa's announced the lockdown on the 26th March 2020 ....we were 2200km away from home ..we decided to visit my mother inlaw the 24th March 2020 as she is not well....we left Houtbay on the wednesday the 25th March back to our home in the Limpopo 18km away from the Zimbabwe border....we spent two nights at the cottage ....Steve and his wife were awesome hosts and the cottage was clean and we definitely got more that we bargained on.
