What We Say
Overlooking the beautiful Wilderness Lagoon, Wilderness Manor is within easy walking distance to beaches, restaurants and village shops.

The owners provide upmarket accommodation and personal, but discreet, service.

You'll find Wilderness Manor a tranquil base from which to explore the surroundings of the lakes area and nearby Garden Route towns

Wilderness Manor is decorated in an African colonial style with fine oriental rugs, heirlooms, antiques, art and collectibles which contribute to the ambiance.

There are four stylish bedrooms on offer, three of which face the lagoon and a garden room on the ground floor with a private patio. Each of room offers crisp bed linen, with en-suite bathrooms and heated towel rails.

There are beautiful gardens on the grounds, and nearby you'll find stunning beaches and some great forest walks. Wilderness encompasses the best of the Garden Route by being within easy reach of the other towns but being small enough to retain it's charm and escape the crowds.

The feedback for Wilderness Manor is always positive, you can't go wrong.

"The Perfect Getaway!"

"From the moment I arrived on the doorstep of Wilderness Manor, I was greeted by warm smiles. JD and Gerald are perfect hosts. They understand the meaning of hospitality. The house is beautiful and well taken of with spectacular views of the lagoon. The luxury room is spacious and comfortable too. I fell in love with the pillows. And my favourite meal of the day, breakfast, was a sumptuous experience. The fruit salad just perfect every morning. Thank you for opening your home to me, I'm looking forward to visiting again."

"We go to Wilderness and Knysna area often and wanted to try something different as we usually stay in one of the guesthouses located on the beach. The lagoon /river setting was a nice change. Lovely view. The hosts are exceptionally warm and welcoming and I can easily say that this was the most hospitable guesthouse we have stayed in to date. The hosts really do go out their way to make you feel at home. The rooms (and bathrooms) are big, the decor is classy. You can see the obvious attention to detail from the comfort of the bed and pillows to the style and cleanliness of the whole establishment. Although we had a car, its walking distance to the centre part of town- which is probably convenient for people not liking to travel far. The quality of the breakfasts are also great and the hosts were more than happy to find the best places for us to eat dinner and they even booked the restaurants on our behalf! All in all, I would definitely recommend."
