Walden Country House is situated on a beautiful five acre property in Hogsback, close to a stream that runs through the property.
The main house accommodates guests in a family room with double bed and loft, a double room with separate entrance and a third large room with twin beds. A private honeymoon cottage, is separately located in the grounds, for that little bit more privacy.
All rooms have beautiful views of the garden, the stream that feeds Swallowtail Falls and the forests. All beds have electric blankets and rooms are heated.
In the main house the communal facilities include a sun-filled lounge and dining room with fireplace. This room overlooks the stream, the garden, the forests and the water wheel, and leads into the large fully equipped kitchen.
We are centrally situated close to all the major waterfalls, with the closest being Swallowtail only a 10 minute walk from our doorstep, and a number of forest walks.

"Well this was like our 2nd Honeymoon for us, as on Sat 24th we renewed our 20 years Wedding Vows. My twin girls booked us away in the honeymoon little house. All I could say when I walked in was WOW, it was so cozy, warm and small but with everything that a couple would need. Reinette & Adrian were so friendly which made us so comfortable, welcomed and relaxed. We had an awesome time spent there and would recommend this house to any and all couples who would like to just get away and spend some quality time together, away from it all. While sitting on the little deck, or lying on the bed, you have the sound of the water running down into the wheel, it alone is so relaxing. We loved every minute there. They also have a bigger house that sleeps 10ppl, which is also lovely, so can't wait to book in there with a few friends/family. They have a lovely open yard, where the kids can run free and wild with it all being very safe."

"The Hogsback region is amazing and I honestly can't imagine a better place to be based in this area than Walden House. The service was personal and exceptional. We felt completely at home during our 2 night stay. They are located very close to some of the popular hiking trails and still within a stone's throw of town.Best of all, the price was brilliant for the high standard of the accommodation.We will definitely be staying here whenever we are in the area."
