Overview
Twin Eagles River Lodge is situated on the banks of the Scheerpoort River, nestled between the Magaliesburg mountain range. The lodge is only a 30-minute drive from Johannesburg and Pretoria and offers a tranquil bushveld experience.

This unique accommodation consists of two five-sleeper self-catering chalets each comprising an upstairs open-air entertainment area consisting of a kitchenette, a dining area and a lounge. The third chalet is also a five sleeper but without the top floor.

Facilities at the lodge include a large lapa with a sparkling pool and a barbecue area where you can relax and enjoy a beverage in the quiet surrounds. You can also test your bass fishing skills at the river. If you need to unwind away from the big-city stress, then this is the ideal venue for a weekend or a midweek break.

"Perfect for us"
10 Dec 2015
By Shirley, South Africa
"It was my hubby's 40th and I wanted a place where all our friends could come and relax with no distractions. Its not a 5 star getaway but it was perfect for us as we were able to book out all the chalets and have the place to ourselves. The kids loved the pool and space and the Big boys loved their Boma to do their braaing and dopping. Thanks a million!"

"What a wonderful place to go and relax mind and body. It is so quiet and away from the hustle and bustle. The guys enjoyed the fishing down at the river and caught two beauties! The chalets are wonderful and the view from the top level is wonderful. Thank you Gerda for a wonderful stay and for letting us overstay our welcome. Hope to be back soon.Beverley Schopf"

"not so good vacation"
15 Dec 2014
By Hilda, South Africa
"From day 1 the chalet was dirty, linen, curtains were not clean. 2 towels were provided which we had to use for the whole weekend. Four dogs were irritating, the pool was dirty we had to go to African Island just for swim and lots of vegetation in the yard. Nobody ever came to clean the chalet for the whole weekend. I regret ever making a booking for Twin Eagles."

"The chalet is very nice but think there could be more things to do like tv if it rains you can't do nothing. Gerda is a very sweet lady and the 2 dogs protect the guests."

"- The owner of the place is a very nice person.- The place needs some maintainance. - Dogs made me feel uncomfortable.- The swimming pool shared with dogs was not very acceptable (some dogs had ticks).( we had one child age 5)- The stench (bad smell) from the dog food manufacturing company and the dumping area nearby was unbearable at certain times."
