Overview
Welcome to The Estuary Hotel and Spa, located in Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Coast just a few km short of Port Edward. The Estuary Hotel and Spa was originally built in 1941 as a Manor House in the Cape-Dutch style for a wealthy family.

It has been cautiously transformed into a beautiful and private Hotel, Restaurant and conference center. Its genuine design and harmony of proportions, immediately reflects the work of a master builder. We offer a total of 44 large air-conditioned, en-suite rooms with private balconies with exclusive honeymoon suites.

Established in 1996, the Fish Eagle Restaurant rapidly became one of the top five dining venues on the South Coast. Whether for a light snack or a candlelight dinner for two or more, we promise to tantalize the taste buds with unsurpassed cuisine and a well-stocked cellar of complementing wines. We offer fully air-conditioned conference facilities for up to 300 delegates.

While the beautiful natural environment lends itself to the most amazing team-building and leisure activities with as many as seven stunning golf courses in the immediate area. Let us take the stress out of organizing your next conference.

We have established a fully integrated Wellness and Beauty Spa, managed by highly awarded, professional therapists. This well-appointed, tranquil haven offers Aromatherapy massages, body therapies, unisex manicures and pedicures and facial treatments. Comprehensive Wellness packages including accommodation are on offer.

There is a wide variety of exciting activities right on our door step. Scuba diving, surfing, angling, mountain biking, golf and The Wild Coast Sun Casino are all a short drive away! Close proximity to seven top Golf Courses including Wild Coast Sun and San Lameer resulted in the Estuary being called The Golfer's Jewel. Many Golf Packages can be tailor made to suit individual or group requirements.

"My wife and I regret ever booking at this hotel. A lot of strange, unusual things happened on the day of our arrival. Firstly, we couldnt get hold of the hotel to alert them that we would be arriving late and upon our arriving we required to pay the outstanding balance without even seeing the room and our protestations on this were met with some amazement by the receptionist as if we were mad to even ask. Thirdly, we were allocated a room with a damp smelly carpert situated along a very dirty patio and walkway despite the fact that we booked a so-called deluxe room with a proper working aircon and Dstv and this room had none of these offerings. Upon complaining we were just "moved" to another, proper bigger and cleaner room but and acknowledgement or even an apology that a mistake was made for providing a wrong room in the first place. The breakfast was below par and lacked freshness and it was a breakfast certainly not befitting a "4 star" establishment the hotel claims to be on its website. My wife and I feel completely cheated and would urge the hotel to jerk up its act if it wants to attract visitors when visiting this beautiful part of our country."

"Beautiful views, but the room had a damp, musty smell. Breakfast was below standard as compared to other 4 star hotels."
