This straw-bale cottage has been created using materials from its surroundings, combining all the elements of traditional Karoo building techniques. This eco-friendly cottage offers comfortable accommodation for two guests. There are braai facilities outside as well as basic cooking facilities.

"Our misgivings were short-lived. We were warmly greeted by Rozelle and her Labrador. The large, white linen-clad bed looks through tall shutters onto a small vineyard. The straw-bale apartment is simple and tastefully appointed. We drank bubbly and braaied as the sun set and light turned liquid. It was the perfect first stop on our our road trip.Graham Ellis"

"Charming setting in the rural heart of Karoo. Lovely hosts. More needs to be done to make the client comfortable. The cottage offers no respite from the intense heat. Would suggest shade trees, a splash pool or pond, shade over porch and fans."
