These have been carefully maintained in a naturalistic semi-wild state attracting many species of birds and undoubtedly is one of the most delightful escapes for a weekend getaway.

This unpretentious country cottage has a cheerful electric blend of the quaint and the contemporary. For nature enthusiasts, bird life abounds in a garden which becomes part of the experience, a perfect venue for wedding pictures, short honeymoons and romantic weekends. Leisurely country days can be filled with walks, romantic sunset cruises, windsurfing, kite surfing, fishing, mountain biking, a visit to the historic Motorcycle Museum, visits to the nature reserve and the crocodile.

Stone Cottage consists of two fully equipped, furnished, self-catering units and a newly renovated bed and breakfast unit, all of which have their own small secluded private gardens and braai facilities. Coffee, tea, milk and sugar are provided on arrival; all kitchens are fully equipped with all necessities needed. Bath towels and all bedding are supplied. There is adequate parking for boats, trailers, cars and full use of the main garden and pool area.

For power boaters and fisherman the Water sports Club charge a daily entrance fee and has excellent facilities with a boat launching ramp, braais and shaded seating areas as well as an ablution block with a shower and toilets, as well as a lovely fishing spot.

Only 35 km away is the Emerald Casino, which now has a water theme park and a very well-maintained animal sanctuary. For golfing enthusiasts, both the Maccauvlei and the Riviera Golf Courses are within 25 minutes of Deneysville.

"The hosting was not up to standard. Not once did the host check up on us , we were just left to ourselves. The electricity went off and we were not notified about what is happening or when it will come back on. Establishment's response:In defense to the comment that I didnt visit the guest. I was very ill in bed with bronchitis, could hardly talk. I have asked someone to look in and find out if my guest were OK. But normally I dont hassle guest if they are self-catering, they had my number and I told them to please contact me should they require anything as I wont be there."
"Lovely stay"

"I like the furniture and the feel of the place., the vintage look works. It was very peaceful, my issue was however with the son of the owner. He kept knocking, asking for lifts, asking for cigarretes. He left a bitter taste in my mouth. There was a bit of dust on the furniture and spider webs on the doors which suggested that there hadnt been guests in a while."
