"There could just be an extra cupboard for the food that's all, otherwise everything was perfect."

"Slypsteen Guestfarm is set on a picturesque rocky hill overlooking green vineyards below. It is quiet and charming. Unfortunately, this natural beauty is spoiled by litter lying around everywhere! Around the chalets and the rocks surrounding the pool, there were numerous cooldrink/beer cans, bottle caps, cigarette packets, cigarette butts, sweet papers, etc. strewn around everywhere. The pool itself is also beautiful, but was very dirty when we got there. It was very hot, so we decided to cool down anyway. The water not being clear, made it impossible to gauge the depth of the pool, so we entered slowly....one half of the pool is around knee deep, but then it suddenly gets deeper....so it could be dangerous for kids, as there are no signs up providing any warning. The chalets were pretty clean and neat inside. We always pick places to stay based on natural beauty and quiet charm. It is sad to see a beautiful natural environment neglected like this."

"The view is fantastic and the cottage well appointed. There was plenty of hot water in the shower. The sliding door onto the veranda requires attention. The beds while comfortable are quite short although I am just over 6 ft."

"Slypsteen guest farm is a wonderful stopover, or if you require longer stay time, establishment. The views over the planes from the rocky ridge is awesome. The sun rise in the mornings were absolutely breathtaking and we Praise our FATHER for HIS Handwork. We bless Slypsteen farm with shalom, in JESUS Name. Anton, Annalize and kiddies."

"When I booked for myself and my wife, I expected a cottage for 2 as per the picture advertised, however we received a family size cottage with a small main bedroom, and a rickety bed. Ryno is nice and helpful and was waiting for us when we arrived after 8pm. The scenery is lovely as per the photo, but that is where it stops. There is a lack of privacy downstairs, if the curtains are open. An attempt has been made to pretty up the cottage with items, but it still came over as grotty, especially the ash brick shower with a clogged drain and white soap residue on the bricks, pipes and floor. The result of which, we did not shower. I could have overlooked the scorpion in the kitchen area and whatever was living behind the Dstv decoder (which did not seem to be working), but the rest of the cottage of which we were looking forward to after a long drive, not at all. Therefore, I would not recommend Slypsteen guest farm to anybody."
