"Tented camp was comfortable and we had everything we needed in the kitchen and more. Disappointed that when we arrived there was nobody at reception and when we called the cellphone was ringing inside the restaurant. Had to go and keep ourselves busy and were worried that we would have to look for other accommodation. Went back about an hour later and there was somebody there. The owner did say that she thought we had booked for the day before, couldn't understand that she would check the booking if we hadn't arrived. We were told that there was no water, so no shower after a long day on the road. Drinking water was collected for us, so that was good. The following morning, there was water which we were very relieved about."

"Die akkommodasie was perfek. Die sterkte van die lig binne in die tent kan dalk aangepas word."

"Ongelukkig n slegte ervaring gehad. Alles was baie netjies en skoon. Baie vriendelike ontvangs. Maar harde musiek en n kuiery tot 02h00 in die oggend in die restaurant was glad nie aangenaam nie. Van slaap was daar dus geen sprake tot amper oggend ure. Sal beslis nie weer ondersteun nie."
"Skoon toiletgeriewe en goed toegeruste kombuis. Vriendelikheid"

"I really do think that they should have RESERVED PARKING for there OVER NIGHT CUSTOMERS - We had to visit a other Restaurant as Die Rooi Spinnekop could not host us due to RSG Booking the Restaurant. No problem with that but on our return there was no parking available for us and the other Guest - we then double parked and was fast as sleep when we were woken to move our vehicle."

"Our stay was very pleasant and the food at the restaurant excellent. The buffet dinner was very good - especially the freshly baked bread and jam. Tents and ablutions are clean."

"The tents are basic as one would expect. Clean and pleasant but very hot - a larger deck area to sit out the front will be a great addition. Ablutions spotless and adequate. At night the peace is somewaht spoiled by the noise from nearby houses and the mosquitoes are revenous and there are millions of them! The Rooi Spinnekop serves the most divine food! And at exceptionally good prices. We had a seafood buffet of calamari, prawns, crayfish and the most delicious fresh snoek I have ever tasted! Fit for a king. Well worth the poor gravel roads just for the food and genial hospitality alone!"

"For those who are familiar with the West Coast and loves its charm ,this is a must see.It takes a bit of driving with a 80km of the track dirt road and a pass or two ,but at the end it is surely worth it.The hosts are warm and very accomodating and the food is top notch!"
