The truly magnificent mountains and Agatha forests above Tzaneen are home to Sherwoods, a charming family-owned country house. We offer ultimate privacy and peace with only six bedrooms, which open onto tranquil gardens. Some have cosy fireplaces and spectacular views from your private verandah.
Credit cards are welcome. You can enjoy walks on the property and the surrounding area, mountain bikes, a swimming pool or birdwatching.
We offer a full Continental and English breakfast, light lunches such as sandwiches or cold platters, and four course set menus for dinner with reservations made by 13h00. We also have a fully licensed bar and car ports at the main parking area. The property is secure with electrified fencing.

"This is a magnificently situated guest house with breathtaking views.
The staff are pleasant, helpful and the service is good.
The decor is a little dated- ala Laura Ashley 80's- but clean.
The bathroom, although spotless, could do with a lick- of- paint. But I did enjoy the ball-and-claw bath, which was spacious.
The rooms are really spacious and airy with their own back porch-with a view, and a fireplace in the bedroom.

"We visited as four families with 8 adults and 12 children, ages 2 to 17 years, and had a GREAT time! The accommodation was pleasant, friendly and had the most helpful hosts and staff. This was enjoyable and refreshing 3 day stay in Tzaneen! Thanks again guys!"
