"Do not stay at Shawu Lodge"

"We arrived at Shawu lodge on Friday night, dropped off our bag and went to had supper. We returned to the lodge around 21h00. The room we were allocated was cold and I could not find the air-conditioner remote to heat the room. After enquiring at reception for a remote, I was informed there was no remote. The person on duty phoned the manager, he was informed to give me electric blankets, which he did. 2 single bed electric blankets, we were 3 people, with a double and 1 single bed in the room. On inspection I found the blankets dirty and full of long black hair. There was no practical way to plug the blankets in as the electric sockets was not close to the beds. We then opened the bedding, the sheets had not been changed. Once again the bed and pillows had black hair all over the bedding and pillows. The pillows were so dirty that you could see the dirt through the pillow case. We were given only one, very thin blanket on each bed. Additional blankets where brought to the room, these blankets where unwashed and had a bad odour. We were given a broken plastic spoon to make coffee with. The towels that we were given where old and had holes in. I then requested to see the manger, but was informed he was not available, but that we could have a refund of our money. We left the lodge and booked into a hotel for the weekend."
