"Lovely restaurant and gardens"
08 Oct 2018
By Jonathan Trusler
"Loved the restaurant and gardens. The breakfast was incredible and suppers were delicious. Very relaxing atmosphere and friendly staff. The room decor felt a bit dated and some of the bathroom fixtures weren't great (cheap toilet seat, toilet roll holder etc.) but everything was clean and the stay was enjoyable."

"Woodland Kingfisher was a Treat!"

"In its day this hotel must have been a real gem, the location and decor of areas were very interesting. The rooms however are very dated and our shower flooded the entire bathroom... just not built or angled correctly. Light bulbs were missing and certain lamps did not work. The food from the restaurant was delicious when eventually received but we waited for and hour for our main meal for 4 people when the restaurant was not even half full. Staff were friendly and tried hard but clearly money needs to be invested and the place managed properly."
"Rooms need revamping."

By Francois Tonkin
"Rooms need serious revamping.Beds are old and worn. Two single beds pushed side my side with no overlay. Bathrooms old and out dated. Tiles looks unhygienic in shower.Brown roof leak marks all over ceilings.Main light in bedroom not working. Door lock not working properly.Rooms are noisy. Can hear guests in other rooms every move."
"Beautiful gardens and venue, very tranquil"

"Lovely nature, roses, flora, lavender, succulents a full diverse zen garden. Very friendly staff, a pleasure to stay there. Lovely accommodation, gorgeous clean, luxurious bathrooms. Very ambient. Reception was welcoming and vibrantly beautiful, live bunnies for Easter in reception. Many friendly cute animals to add to the atmosphere. Top class service. Felt like luxury. Delicious buffet for breakfast and wonderful service. And a lovely menu for dinner, although the pizzas could have been much bigger, pizza for ants. Swimming pools absolutely beautiful, very professional and aesthetically pleasing spa with charming staff who were very informative about the many natural African products which were on offer. Overall a great f**ing place to be!!!"
