There's something special about the Karoo, the tranquility and peace that it provides, and Samara Karoo Lodge (in the Samara Private Nature Reserve) is great place to experience this.The game drives are provided by experienced guides allowing you to see some of the best game in the area among the 70,000 hectares of untouched soil. If time-out is more your thing, then there's a therapist on hand to provide a range of treatment and ease away the stress away with aromatic oils.
The Karoo Suites are individual Karoo-style cottages, each with luxury en-suite bathroom, air-con and fireplace.
The Lodge Suites are part of the manor house and open on to the veranda, a good place to kick back.
The Sibella Suites open onto a deck overlooking a water-hole where you'll see a range of bird-life.
Rates include two daily game activities, and for those who have a little one in tow there's a program for under 8s.
The diverse and unique environment will leave you feeling refreshed, that's if you can drag yourself away!
