Overview
Red Mountain Nature Reserve is situated within a few kilometres of Oudtshoorn the Ostrich Capital of the world. It is also close to Calitzdorp which is renowned for its port wine.

Enjoy luxurious 4 Star accommodation in Suites which nestle in a tranquil garden with a saltwater swimming pool. We offer five luxurious Suites of which two are especially made for honeymoon couples. Each offers elegant furnishings, air-conditioning, overhead fans, underfloor heating, a kitchenette, satellite TV and sound system. The bathrooms, with their Victorian baths and double showers, enhance the luxury. Children are most welcome and we do accept credit cards.

The region within which the nature reserve lies has the largest diversity of succulent plants in the world. Explore the geological wonders of the Red Stone Hills and take leisurely day trips into the Swartberg Mountains. The Klein Karoo lies between the Swartberg and the Outeniqua mountain ranges. This seemingly arid land is full of surprises with a wide variety of succulent plants, hot springs, the Cango Caves, port wine, ostriches and the Red Stone Hils in the Kruisrivier Valley.

"A must for nature lovers"
19 Mar 2014
By Hans, Germany
"We have been there for only 2 nights but the surrounding nature and the views from the pool and the other parts of the lodge have been fantastic. Also the interior and the hospitality of the owner convinced us to come again. If you want to have a real paradise, here it is."
"Enjoyable"

"Our 2nd visit. We enjoyed it equally as much as the 1st. This time we spent 2 nights there. Annette is a wonderful cook. her breakfasts are a delight on the eye as well as to the taste buds. Louis' sundowners by the pool are a lovely touch and a good ice breaker. the pool is very special in such a wonderful setting. they should take care that the rooms don't get 'tired'. The beds were not properly aired before our arrival -an oversight i think. We hope to return in the future."

"Food and hospitality were splendid. I do encourage the owners to quickly bring in some game into the reserve."
