Phokoje Game Lodge is located in the heart of the Groot Marico bushveld, a mere two and a half hours from Gauteng. Set in 400 hectares of rugged bush, this lodge is sure to touch all your senses. The lodge is also within close reach to Pilansberg as well as the Sun City complex.
The lodge's various outdoor facilities offer leisure, excitement and relaxation, making Phokoje Game Lodge the ideal destination for groups and functions. The lodge offers two camps, namely Bush Camp and Lodge Camp. Our Bush Camp consists of six luxury tented units built in a dry river bed; the surrounding area will simply take your breath away. Our Lodge Camp offers four luxurious chalets for the discerning holidaymaker wanting to experience the bush life, but still have the luxury of a chalet. Both camps feature their own catering facilities, boma area, as well as a swimming pool and a Jacuzzi.

"In need of maintenance and management"

"We stayed in the tented camp section of the lodge. The communal area and setting is great, but the accommodation is in desperate need of some TLC. Many of the tent zippers and straps were broken, the fans were broken, and the showers didn't work. The tents were very musty, and when it rained they leaked and set off electrical sparks outside our tent which is a serious fire hazard. On our last evening a big party of people arrived to stay in the chalets which share the same property. They took over the pool area for the tented accommodation and played loud music into the early hours of the morning, and when a complaint was made, management (or lack there of) failed to sort out the situation. Although we managed to have a good time, we will not be back. We've been to Groot Marico many times before, and assure you that there is much better accommodation available."
