"The place to stay in Wilderness"
06 Apr 2013
By Joerg, Germany
"Our 5 nights stay at Phoenix Guest House was the highlight of our SA trip. We (couple 52yrs, 51yrs and daughter 21yrs, from Germany) had such a warm welcome from Peter (owner and host) and Milly (the Dalmatian), that we felt more than comfortable from the first moment on. Phoenix Guest House is like heaven on earth. The house is such a surprise, very interesting architecture, lots of glass and never ending new details to discover. Because of the location up the hill the views down to the lagoon, to the beach and to the sea are so spectacular, beginning at sunrise, perfect for sundowners and even at night. It doesn’t matter if you are in your room, on the deck, in the pool, on the balcony or where ever, each place gives you unforgettable impressions. Each morning started with a delicious breakfast, with the best freshly made fruit salad we ever had. Every night Peter pinned a list on our door with tons of choices for breakfast. That is such a great idea, because you wake up in the morning and you are already looking forward to enjoying your unique breakfast. Even that the area offers a lot of activities, we enjoyed very much just to stay at or in the pool on the inflatable chairs, or in the hammock. As we stayed 5 nights, Peter cooked us a wonderful 3 course dinner. It was a pleasure having dinner together and talking about everything and anything. It was a great evening! You have to stay at Phoenix Guest House to find out that even the best reviews cannot describe what you will experience. When we had to choose our breakfast for the last day we promised Peter that this is only the last night at Phoenix Guest House for this trip, not forever!"
