"Piece of paradise"
19 Sep 2018
By Angela Meister
"This rustic labourer cottage, although lovingly restored, is perhaps not for the faint hearted. We enjoyed our stay tremendously. A scenery of almost 360, the fauna and flora, the stars, and the kind owners, make this a very special place to visit. The farm is huge and we saw a lot of flowers we didnt see elsewhere. The many tortoises, an agama, and a rare scrub hare were a bonus. Thank you Esme and family !"
"Experience the true Namaqua"

"Three days of absolute bliss and joy in nature, off the gridd, but with all the necessities for a comfortable stay. The cottage is very strategically situated for flower touring and everything is of quality and good taste with the personal touch of our caring host, Esme. The inside fireplace was a winner. We (two females) felt very safe and secure in this cozy little gem of an old charm cottage. I will highly recommend it for two good friends or a couple. We just loved it and will be back next year, flowers or no flowers!"

"Die Kliphuisie is fabulous. Quaint and had every luxury we wanted in farm accommodation. The hosts were very welcoming and informative about their area. We loved staying our 5 nights on a working farm."

"Quaint private cottage that is perfect in a tranquail farm setting. Stuning wild flowers in spring are dotted around the farm and a short drive to Namaqualand National Park. Beautifully decorated, would love to return. So glad we stayed here instead of a Hotel."

"We were lucky enough to get accommodation on the Grootvalleij Farm during our trip up the West Coast to see the flowers. We stayed in Die Kliphuisie, which was fantastic. This little gem was so simply and beautifully furnished with everything we needed and more (electric blankets on the bed). Esmie was such a star from the minute we arrived. We arrived as strangers and felt like friends when we left. We'll definitely be going back for longer next time."
