Lunar Accommodation

"Positives:1. Centrally located on Thesen Island (near restaurants).2. Clean and Spacious3. Well furnished.Negatives:1. Extremely Noisy because of its location. Unfortunately we had to endure a night of loud music due to an event being held across the road.Also noisy during the day.2. No views from this room.3. Located in Thesen Island "town", not the residential area."

"If I knew before hand, I would not have booked at Lunar.It is not part of the security accommodation. Always busy and noisy, not even quite at night time.If you like to be in the hustle of things it is perfect. If you want to explore the nature of Knysna and want to switch off in the evening, this is not the place.Very clean and neat. Only the penthouse has a balcony"

"The advert for lunar accommodation is very misleading, making you think it has an outside area. We booked in the apartment and there is no outside area and no view. The view is of the parking lot. The apartment is nicely decorated, neat and clean. However it is not serviced, has no extra bedding and towels and there is no cleaning equipment in case you wish to give the floors a quick sweep or something on that line. In summary I think the advert is misleading, and the apartment is definitely over priced. Very disappointing.Establishments response:The unit is Self catering, with the basic condiments supplied upon arrival. Tea, coffee, milk, sugar, soaps, shampoo and dishwashing liquid with clothsLinen and towels for 2 people. Special requests made during the booking will be attended to, if requested.When the client complained about the view, we offered her, free of charge, an additional room with a lagoon view.The view from the Apartments front door is across the lagoon, all the way to the Heads of Knysna."

"The location was excellent very close to the lagoon.The room was very clean and had no issues.Would strongly recommend to others and would stay again if I travel there."

"The problem started with SafariNow website as Ireland is not listed when you scroll down for dialling codes so the owner could not contact usTAKE NOTE SAFARINOW!!The iron tripped the switch so we were left in the darkFor the whole first night of our stay.There was no WiFi onsite and phone not working so it was back to the dark ages!We contacted owner and some things got sorted but no apology andno refundTV didn't work on our second night but at that stage we were so worn out we gave up.Establishments Response:My telephone number is posted on the Entrance door.They did not phone me when the power tripped.The DB board is open and clearly visible.Had they phoned ,the problem would have been sorted immediately.They knew the number was incorrect, but failed to inform me,even though they spoke to me at about 17h00.I made a courtesy call around 19h00 ,before any problem, butnaturally using the incorrect number, it was fruitless.I got to know about the problem via e mail around 7h00 and hadsomeone at their door by 07h45 and a Technician on site at 08h15.The TV was attended to at around 14h00. A cable was notconnected properly , because of someone interfering with the set up, whichincidentallyhas not happened in 3 years.They suggested a refund, but since I have not even receivedpayment, there was nothing to refund.I left messages on their cell phone (of which I now had thecorrect detail) in order to discuss the way forward, but the call was neverreturned."

"Kan dit regtig aanbeveel dis. Loop afstand van alles af. Die plek is baie moden. Lyk soos n 5 ster hotel.I definitely recommend it. Walking distance to everything. The location is very moden. Looks like a 5 star hotel."
