Light Cottage

For rest and renewal, come and stay at our cottage on the hill, Light Cottage. The setting of Light Cottage offers panoramic views and borders Salmonsdam Nature Reserve. Accommodation is cosy and comfortable. Appliances are gas-powered and oil-lamps add to the romantic setting. Enjoy hiking, bird-watching and mountain biking, or simply relax with a book by the open fireplace.

Light Cottage can comfortable accommodate up to eight guests and comprises three bedrooms, one bathroom, an open-plan kitchen, lounge and dining area, and a patio area. The first bedroom contains a queen-size bed. the second bedroom contains twin single beds and the third bedroom is a loft room containing four single beds. Linen and towels are provided. All rooms share a bathroom with a shower and bath, however there is also an outside shower with hot water and a toilet.

The cottage does not have electricity but runs off solar power. The kitchen is well-equipped for self-catering and includes a gas hob, oven and fridge. The cottage also has an indoor fireplace to keep you warm, with wood provided. The patio is partially enclosed and under cover, and features outdoor furniture. A braai-drum is provided just off the patio and the Light Cottage also has its own dam for swimming.
