Creative, relaxing and oozing with character, La Provence d’ Afrique is bound to offer plenty in the way of romantic fun.
Overview
La Provence is a small French Provence village comprising seven suites. Beautifully decorated, each suite features a fireplace, making it a wonderful winter getaway.

We offer delicious and romantic dinner baskets, and a champagne brunch is included in the bed and breakfast rate. We also offer cheese platters to be enjoyed down by the river with lovely wine for sale from our quaint pub.

The French courtyard, complete with a beautiful three tier fountain, is perfect for small private weddings. Our wonderful French four poster beds, romantic bathrooms with Victorian baths, beautiful antique furniture pieces, hand embroidered linen, and exquisite attention to detail makes for an unforgettable weekend for those who still love a touch of French romance, without having to travel all the way to Europe.

"Very Unique"

"Really enjoyed our stay. The staff are great and very professional. The establishment is very unique and won't appeal to everyone. Some improvement in general cleanliness in the rooms is needed, but can be difficult to achieve with the amount of ornaments and decor in the rooms which contributes to the look and feel of the whole place."
"Breakfast by the river"

"Jerimiah and team went out of their way to ensure an enjoyable stay. Top marks for the team. The meals were excellent but the dinner menu repeated after two days so we had to go eat out on the third night. Even for winter the garden needs attention."
"Special weekend La Provence"

"We had the most wonderful stay at La Provence, celebrating my husbands 60th. We have full praise for the accommodation, food and atmosphere, but to top it off was Marguerite , Jeremiah and the rest of the amazing team who made us feel so special with their personalized attention and willingness to please and accommodate us throughout our stay,eg. with meal requirements. You were all very appreciated in making our stay so special. Thankyou."
"The theme is delightful and we enjoyed the walk with our guide Innocent."

"The place kept to its promise of Provence. However, there were a few snags. The shower in one room that we occupied does not drain the water out. The drain is not fitted properly and the water simply sat at the bottom of the bath located under the shower. This is certainly not in line with good hygiene and customer service. The locking mechanism for the door to the honeymoon suite did not work. A new lock was put in, but this did not work either. The site advertised an outside pool, but the only pool was the one at the spa which could only be used if no clients were using the spa facilities. The gardens are beautiful and the forest walk was super."

"We arrived finding that there was no wardrobe to put our clothes. We were then moved to a room that had not been cleaned since when ever. We paid for a 3 course dinner basket and was given a cheese platter Booked a Zen treatment - no picnic lunch or champagne. We left a day early No wonder we were the only booking the other couple was passing by and stopped there as all other accommodation was fully booked "

"Spoiled romantic weekend"

"We had booked for a romantic weekend away, which was unfortunately spoiled by a number if issues, the biggest being the conference party booked into the rooms along side ours. A loud party of ladies kept us up well past 11pm on both evenings with their laughing and talking and were up before 7 each day. Their talking in the adjacent rooms was so loud we could hear the entire conversation. The evening we arrived, we waited 20 minutes in the dining area before anyone came to attend to us and there was no-one around for us to say we were ready to eat. There was no cutlery in the room to make coffee in the mornings. We purposefully went out on the morning to allow housekeeping to clean our room but were told that we had the only key to the room so it wasn't possible to have the room cleaned. We wanted to have a cheese platter served in our room on Saturday afternoon and was told that it wasn't possible and we would have to have it down by the river. And there are no card facilities?? These might all seem like really small issues but they spoiled the weekend for us.Establishment's responseUNFORTUNATELY one sometimes just get such loud guests that have no respect for other and those are unfortunate when you have group bookings, we did try to chat to them.Cheese platters are recommended to have down by the river as it is soo beautiful and tranquil, can lie down there on the grass with blanketsbut I am sure that my manager did not refuse to serve it in their room? It was just an alternative suggestion? We have had guests going home with keys so it was, BAD TIMING that we did not have a spare key not so easy to have those made up in a day in the country.A teaspoon could have quickly been taken to their room.THERE is a lovely pub area where everyone can have drinks before shown to their room/ suite.NOTHING MENTIONED about the beautiful setting and dcor."
