"However i have already sent an email regarding the difference in price of R200 after one week still no reply , the website showed me that only R800 rooms were available, upon arrival i was told that R600 rooms were the normal , i paid for a dbl room which is not what i was interested in but the website gave no other choice"

"Notwithstanding the facts that Karoopark was experiencing water pressure problems and the fact that all establishments were booked out completely for the local school's centennial celebrations, I feel that we were not accommodated well in the light of the fact that i booked and paid this accommodation 3 months prior to our stay. Our room, situated next to the sewage area, smelt bad and was cramped and inadequate with regard to luggage storage and making coffee/tea in the early morning. I felt as if we'd been relegated to that room because we were "just a 1 nighter" and my feeling is that on our 6 day road trip with a stop in a different place each night, that certainly was the worst experience and no value for money."

"Lovely ambience, friendly helpful staff, tasty evening meal and a comfortable stop over. breakfast fine but dining area rather conferency. Think the terrace and garden would be wonderful on a hot karoo afternoon and evening."

"For breakfast, cooked tomatoes would be preferable and the poached eggs were over cooked.Supper was perfectly delicious."

"We enjoyed our one night stop over at Karoopark Guest House in Graaff Reinet. Secure parking was a must, and they provided this. The accommodation in a nearly 200 year old building was pleasant and comfortable. The food was excellent and the welcoming pool in the afternoon very pleasant. Very happy to recommend the establishment and would happily stay over again."

"1. 1st impression given by the young receptionist: unwelcoming, no greeting, no smile, no help with light switch/air conditioner workings or remote whereabouts and switch positions.2. Food: ordered lamb chops (the obvious Karoo order) requested crispy fat and meat medium. arrived: 3 underdone chops and a hand full of soggy chips (R100!). the 2 portions were sent back for the required preparation. 10 minutes later the chops were returned burnt.Worst meal ever experienced and clearly the cook is inexperienced. Totally over priced meal. :("
