Situated just 16km outside of Aliwal North, The farm Kareedal provides lodging on a 1100 hectare piece of land, with breathtaking sunsets and roaming wildlife to enjoy. We offer self-catering accommodation on the farm. There are basic farmstyle rooms that can be booked individually or as a unit that sleeps 12 people. We have private chalet tucked away in a rock and an off the grid hunting hut that sleeps 6 people.
Please note that a higher type vehicle is needed to travel on the gravel road to the FARM HOUSE.
The road from the FARM HOUSE to the MOUNTAIN HUT is tough and an experienced driver with a higher stronger vehicle is needed (no 4x4 needed). We can offer to transport clients from the FARM HOUSE to the MOUNTAIN hut and back.

"We stopped here for the night on our way back to Johannesburg. Our stay in the Farmhouse exceeded all expectations. The farmhouse had all the modern comforts coupled with the peace and tranquility of bush get-away. The hosts and staff were so friendly and accomodating and went out of their way to ensure we arrived safely and felt welcomed on arrival. We would have loved to stay longer but will definetly be back. Thank you!"

"We had a short stopover at Kareedal. And we were pleasantly surprised. Setting of the unit against the rock wall was special for my 10 year old girl. Everything needed was there. Freshly baked verkoek was awesome! And then we were surprised with an amazing lapa just above the unit where we had a lekker braai protected from the thunderstorm. Highly recommended."

"On arrival we thought we were lost as it is a long drive off the main road before you get to the entrance but once thru the brown gate.. WOW you enter another world. what a place, so relaxing, quiet and peaceful.. highlight was the freshly baked bread and scones that we received every morning , staff were amazing. We were given the use of the 4 wheeler which allowed us to ride all over the farm and see the wild animals, buck, giraffe, widle bees just some of what we saw. really worth the visit and we will be back."
