Overview
Homtini Guest Farm, with its stunning views of the Outeniqua Mountains, is a 90-hectare working farm nestled in the indigenous forest overlooking the Homtini Pass. It lies along the old Seven Pass Route between Knysna and George, and is very close to the Millwood Forest Reserve and gold mine.Blueberries available in season, abundant & delicious! Accommodation consists of three luxury, Self-catering Cottages, privately situated and each with their own tree-top veranda, one Family Bungalow and four secluded Tented Lodges. Guests also have free use of the swimming pool and sauna on the farm, and any children accompanying you should bring their bikes along.Aromatherapeutic massage is available in the comfort of the Forest Cottage or Tented Lodge, on the deck in summer, and next to a roaring fire in winter. There are also three walking trails through 60-hectares of private indigenous forest. Food supplies can be obtained from a mini-market just down the road, which sells lots of fresh local produce. On arrival, we will give you a map of the local area and plenty of information about the things to do in the Garden Route, which is compiled in a large folder in each cottage. We will be pleased to help you find your way around. Why not take a look at our herd of multi-coloured Nguni cattle? Come and get fresh eggs for breakfast straight from the hen, if you dare. Taste the farm honey, although we recommend you let us get this one for you. Pick your own veggies from our vegetable patch, take an invigorating forest walk, and steam-off in the sauna followed by a soul-rejuvenating massage.Bordering Homtini Guest Farm is the Millwood Nature Reserve, with its beautiful golden streams and waterfalls, and its historic gold mines. Enjoy a romantic picnic on one of the sites with braai areas, a little caf with home-made food, and plenty of hikes through the forest which you can finish by jumping in a cool, deep spring. We are 15 km inland from the Goukamma Nature Reserve, a coastal area with deserted beaches, high sand dunes with walking paths, and the Goukamma River which is great for canoeing. Just up the road from the guest farm, you can also go for beautiful forest horse rides or a flight in a micro-light plane. For the more adventurous, Knysna and its surrounds is a centre for outdoor pursuits. Enjoy anything from diving, abseiling, quad biking, paragliding, and even bungy jumping is within easy reach.

"The perfect glamping getaway"

"Absolutely loved the layout of the tent - rustic but comfortable. Homtini is such a lovely little guest farm with beautiful views, a great pool and loads of fun things to do in the surrounding areas. My only complaint would be that the shower nozzle was awkward and could be improved and it was a little noisy on Friday night from the nearby town. But all in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!"
"Friendly reception and the seclusion of the tent lodge."

"We stayed in the family tents. Very clean and comfy. The electric blanket was a definite winner!! Weekend noise from Rheenendal was disturbing though - lots of partying and dogs barking every night."

"We had a great stay at Homtini Guest Farm where we stayed in quaint accomodation in beautiful surroundings. A stone's throw away from Knysna, Plett, Sedgefield, we could explore the many adventures offered by the Garden Route. The views from our tented chalet were fantastic with an outdoor shower hidden jn the forest right next to the camp. Self-catering kitchen for family tent was great and we cooked up a storm at breakfast time but for couples tent probably needs a small hob. Bring your Tabbard if mozzies like you and temember you are in the forest so there will be some creepy crawlies. Frederich, the stand-in manager did a great job of handling all things maintenance related. Bring your mountain bike as the access to MTB here is fantastic. Highly recommended for a great holiday, super private and unique."

"This is my second visit and its just as great as before! The sauna was a surprise bonus, nothing nicer than sitting in a small sauna with rain falling outside! The family safari tent was well equipped and comfortable. Free firewood was supplied.Note: the views from the couple's tents are better though so i'f you're traveling as a couple ask for one of them."
