Self-catering unit. Breakfast is optional. It is a place to stay in clean spacious rooms, each with a private bathroom. Equipped very comfortably with a TV, fridge, tea and coffee. All rooms are heated and you can feel safe with our secure lock up garage. We also have one well-equipped flat. Enjoy yourself in this special environment with a view on Platberg Mountain in a beautiful garden. Facilities are vast and a laundry service optional. Children welcome. Privacy and peace is our motto.
Things to do: Sterkfontein dam, fishing, bird watching, canoeing, Golden Gate National Park, Drakensberg Mountains, resorts, hiking, mountain biking, horse riding and many more. Basotho Cultural Village, Midlands, The Berg Marathon once a year in October 15km, and the Sterkfontein Dam Marathon 25 km in February each year with the Dam swim. Relax on the local golf course, and explore the majestic Drakensberg.

"OK for a stop over"

"Good location for a stop over on way from Bloemfontein to Durban. Really not much in the area although we did visit the Platsburgh nature reserve. No restaurants open in the evening on Sundays so had to go about 20 mins out of town. Room was clean and comfortable although dated. Quite a strong smell of dog mess in the garden area so it wasn't pleasant to sit outside. Breakfast room was beautiful and breakfast was good although I was given a yoghurt that was 3 months out of date. Overall an OK stay for a one night stop over."

"Alet was a wonderful, friendly and caring hostess. My room had all comforts and was spotlessly clean. The lock up garage was a bonus so i did not have to unpack my car completely. I would recommend a stay there."

"Safe, clean, practical. Very neat and well kept. Reception was super friendly and even offered us a upgrade to a bigger venue. Was supplied with fresh milk in kitchen. Car was in garage that was locked. Would not change a thing."
