"We didn't love anything except the location. The linen was holey, the pillow cases grubby, the towels inadequate, no lights next to be beds (one was found for us but it didn't reach the plug), one teacup and horrible ersatz coffee. No milk, one sugar each. Concierge tried to sell me a cup of coffee for R25. I swapped my breakfast for it. No gate guard to open in the morning. No parking. Parked on the pavement. Noisy and inconsiderate people at the bar shouting till almost midnight before I went out to shut them up. Two cockroaches. Our room right next to Reception so all traffic loudly broadcast to us. Rooms have no space to put anything. Front office not always manned, so trying to sort things out was a challenge."

"Grande Kloof Boutique Hotel was a very comfortable overnight stay with safe parking on the premises. I found the service excellent and accomodating to our needs. I also enjoyed the scenic views from the breakfast room and believe that this is a lovely base to explore the beauty that Cape Town has to offer."
