Overview
The Grand Daddy has infused all its rooms with magical creative touches to ensure guests are pleasantly surprised by the humorous and the interesting, including the Daddy Cool Bar and The Venue, a function and conferencing space. The Grand Daddys warm and hospitable staff will guide you through this gentle journey, offering little-known information about the surrounds and history, whilst also performing the necessary business of hotels in a calm and caring manner.

Of course, The Grand Daddys big talking point is its Penthouse Trailer Park. Take the vintage elevator to the top floor and walk onto the rooftop where a collection of air-conditioned vintage Airstream trailers inhabits a garden setting beneath the backdrop of Table Mountain.

Each of the seven, en-suite, two-sleeper trailer suites have been conceptualized and designed by local artists and makes for an accommodation destination like no other.

The Grand Daddy offers business travellers a number of not-so-boring business facilities. The Venue: a fully catered and managed central city location for conferences, launches, meetings and cocktail parties. Good presentation gadgets too. The Boardroom: a focused space to meet, brainstorm and plan your empire.

"Simply lovely"

"Our weekend was really lovely. The staff were all very friendly, helpful and had great senses of humour. The hotel was clean and had a very warm welcoming feeling. Breakfast was satisfactory but perhaps could improve a bit in the quality. However, I would happily book another stay at this lovely hotel."

"The fact that we had a 21st right outside pur door was ridiculous. The manager on duty was not up to scratch. How does one apologize for the this with a drink when one is ready for bed. This was NOT the breakaway we planned nor paid for. So disappointed."

"Stayed here in the Trailer park, as a Capetonian for a little Long Street R+R. It was great - best fun evening ever. Highly recommended. The rooftop bar closes at 9, but you can just head downstairs to the main bar, or venture out on to Long Street to one of the many bars and restaurants. At the moment (October 2012) there is some upgrading of the rooftop going on during the day. The caravans are fun, well equipped for just about anything. I would have liked a WIFI network probably the only thing I missed. Breakfast is included and was great, staff also friendly and helpful"
