"Amazing environment for people who need the quiet and relaxed environment in the picturesque town at the southernmost municipality in Africa. Being born and BRED in BREDASDORP this is ideal for anyone who need the escape from a busy city-life. Thank you Veronica and team for all the arrangement."

"Me and my husband stayed at De Volkshuijs for one night only. We found it to be a cossy little place to overnight. We loved the historical atmosphere and the fact that our country's history is being preserved in such a novel, practicalway. We have never been to Bredasdorp before but would like to go there again, especialy to se the green cornfields before harvest time. And we would like to stay in De volkshuijs again."

"Mixed emotions"

"The house was quaint and well presented. However, the smell of wet, dampness was not welcoming. When asked about a heater for the cold evening, electric blankets were offered and nothing else. There was a heater in the cupboard which we weren't told about. They did get one when we asked for it. The garage gates did not allow you to lock the house and then the gate to leave as the gates did not secure the gate. The staff were friendly and generally helpful. The power shut off at 9PM the second evening as not enough had been paid to allow for heaters running to ward off the cold damp air. Then there was an issue with the account at the end. Nice place but wouldn't stay there again unless I had to."
