Overview
Croc River Lodge overlooks the Kruger National Park. Imagine waking up to the call of the fish eagle as it swoops over the silver waters of the Crocodile River. Imagine tracking the slow walk of an elephant while enjoying your first cup of coffee in the sheltered shade of a wide veranda. Imagine all this and you will find it at Croc River Lodge.

Croc River Lodge has six double air-conditioned bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. Some rooms offer spectacular views of the Crocodile River and the Kruger National Park from a magnificent thatched veranda.

A built-in barbecue and swimming pool on the veranda provides the perfect end to a long day of game viewing. The fully equipped kitchen is available for dinner and self-catering purposes. Keen business guests will find that the veranda offers the perfect location for small informal meetings.

This thatched guest house is located a mere 6 km from the Lebombo Border Post between South Africa and Mozambique, and 10 km from the Kruger National Park's nearest gate, Crocodile Bridge.

"We enjoyed our stay at Croc River Lodge, having our own apartment. This is not the same atmosphere as Kruger itself, but the place was neat and tidy."

"A wonderful lodge with excellent facilities and views on Croc River! Breakfast on the patio was good and service very friendly. Highly recommended for an overnight stay before entering Kruger Park or longer if you want to discover the Komatipoort area."

"After no accommodation availability in the Kruger I was very sceptical to stay outside the park, but Croc River Lodge self-catering unit 3 was very spacious and comfortable with a spectacular view into the Kruger. We saw buffalo, giraffe, impala, hippo, kudu and so many bird species from the patio! However, a 'fully equipped' kitchen was promisedbut certain basic items weremissing like cutting board, cutting knife, oven gloves and dish cloth. We had to ask for these items. On our arrival the braai grid was filthy as well as the stove top. Theupstairs aircon was also not working and blowing hot air which can be a problem in the lowveld heat! I don't suggest you stay here if you're looking for quietness - the lodge is after all in a suburb with dogs barking andcars driving past, but it'sabout 10km from Croc Bridge which made our stay very comfortable. With the lack of availability in the Krugerthis place can be a gemstone just by sorting out the above mentioned issues. We had alovely, relaxing time thoughand the view was unforgettable! "My brother and I recently stayed at Croc River Lodge. In the reservation they missed that he is a paraplegic. When we arrived they went out of their way to give us a twin room that was suited to him. The rooms are 5 Star and the view even better."

"We loved the view with elephants, buffalo, giraffe, impala, zebra, kudu, crocodiles, hippo's etc changing the seen. Fiendly staff, well maintained and neat room, bathroom and braai facility. Felt secure with a car guard. Missed a bit of outside privacy with the rooms in one row and outsiders pitching for meals and swims. Wished for relaxing soft outside chairs whilst reading, not being 'bed lyers'."
