The farm, home to the region's oldest wine cellar and one of the oldest working water mills in the Overberg, is steeped in history, dating back to the 1700s. Soak up the balmy summer days or chase away the winter blues with books, music, good food and wine in the Mill House or Peppertree Cottage. Enjoy invigorating walks through the vineyards, wine tasting, hiking the Fynbos-rich mountain trails, horse riding or just lazing in the hot waters of the Caledon Spa. Or perhaps a swim in the fresh mountain water lake on a hot summer's day; the jetty offers one of the prettiest settings for sundowners. You can even put the idea of cooking on the back-burner and instead arrange to have delicious home-cooked meals delivered to your cottage.
Beaumont Wines offers two beautifully restored self-catering farm cottages. The Peppertree Cottage is the smaller, cosier one which has one bedroom with a double bed and two single beds in the lounge area. The Mill House is a very spacious cottage which has one bedroom with a double bed and a second bedroom with two single beds and two extra beds in the lounge area. Both cottages have fully equipped kitchens and we supply all your bedding, bath towels and plenty of firewood for the indoor fireplaces and the braai facilities.

"Everything we could wish for: photo opportunities at every turn, unspoilt character of the buildings, yet every comfort considered. A very warm and attentive welcome from Adele. Would happily have stayed a week or two. Only lacking garden loungers to gaze up at the majestic gums, but were told these are about to be provided!"

"We had a very pleasant stay on the farm. Although it remains very much in the farmhouse style it offers most modern conveniences. The Peppertree cottage was spacious and with much thought given to every detail to make the stay pleasant. We had some lovely walks around the farm. The hosts and staff were also very friendly. Would definitely stay again. The Shuntin Shed restaurant just up the road was a great find."
