The typical guest review for Avondrood goes something like "very special" and "pure paradise", with 5-out-of-5 ratings the norm.Avondrood Guesthouse is a charming Victorian Cape-Dutch style house built in 1870. It has been tastefully renovated adding modern-day comforts whilst retaining many features of the original building.
There are six generous rooms (one being a two-bedroom family suite). The extra-length king-size beds are so big you'll need a map, and the en-suite bathrooms feature a Victorian bath. There's also a separate rain dance shower.
The decor is tasteful and the service is exemplary. You'll have to drag yourself away from here, it's that comfortable and welcoming.
There's lots to do in the area with so many restaurants that you'll loose count, world-class wines, art galleries, and plenty of outdoor activities.

"We really enjoyed this beautiful guesthouse located conveniently. We could walk to where we wanted to be. The rooms are spacious and neat. Decor is really nice and everyone was friendly. Loved the king size bed!"
