Overview
Auberge La Dauphine guesthouse is situated in the picturesque Franschhoek Valley, surrounded by majestic mountains, only 50 minutes drive from Cape Town and two minutes from Franschhoek village. Set in Four hectares with vineyards, orchards, dam, swimming pools and tennis court, it offers bed only accommodation in a sympathetically converted former wine store and self- catering cottages.

Our spacious guest rooms and suites have both bath and shower en-suite, TV, air-conditioning/heating, and tea and coffee making facilities. The little patio areas in front of our rooms and suites have tables and chairs allowing guests to relax and take advantage of the lovely views. Our cottages have both double and twin rooms with en-suite bath and shower, lounges, kitchens and DStv. Laze in the garden by the swimming pool, have a game of tennis(please bring own rackets and balls), enjoy a sun downer in the gazebo at the dam and say hello to our rescue donkeys and chickens in their paddocks.

We can organise wine tours and tastings, on horse-back if you wish. The village has an extensive range of shops, galleries and cafes. Numerous award-winning restaurants in and around Franschhoek give it the title of leading gourmet region of South Africa.

At Auberge La Dauphine our aim is to make your visit to this beautiful valley one you will want to repeat.

"Great accommodation for a family of 4 on a semi self-catering basis. Comfortable, spacious cottage with all the amenities. Good breakfast each morning. Lovely friendly staff who helped get us settled, made suggestions and bookings for the area and assured with babysitting too."

"We had a lovely stay, even though the weather was dreadful. The surroundings and the environment are lovely and we so enjoyed the donkeys and ponies. The views are spectacular and it was just an enjoyable weekend. The cottage was a little cold though. It does have a fire, but you have to sit on top of it to really feel it."

"We stayed two nights in one of the cottages with our two small boys at Auberge La Dauphine. The space was pretty, clean and well furnished/equipped. We had the most magnificent mountain view and a lovely terrace which lead to the garden in which the kids could roam around safely. The entire property is situated in a beautiful and quiet part of Franschhoek and we went for short walks around the gardens and runs in the area. The breakfast was excellent and the staff super friendly and attentive. We found this place to be great value and will definitely be back when in Franschhoek again."

"Comfortable accommodation in beautiful setting"

"Set on a farm in a quiet corner of the Franschhoek valley, Auberge La Dauphine has beautiful views a lovely dam and sweet donkey. The accommodation is simple but very clean and comfortable. The staff are very helpful. Nice touches include filter coffee with a plunger and fresh milk in the rooms, rather than the awful sachets you often get. The only rather strange of the farm are the rather bizarre giraffe and cow sculptures in the fields."
