It's not often you find a place which has a rural spacious feeling yet being within easy reach of Joburg, but Aquanzi Lodge manages that quite well. On offer are a range of chalets, all set apart from each other to give you space to move and privacy. You'll probably want to get the luxurious chalet or the honeymoon chalet if you can, although all units are spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated so you'll be comfortable with any option.
Your host, Natalie, is friendly and welcoming, and there's a great pool area (with beach sand!) for when it heats up or if you want to just chill out a bit. The location is convenient with easy access to restaurants, shopping and anything else you want to do in Joburg. And if you remember, why not ask Natalie beforehand to put out some bubbly or chocolates (charged accordingly), it's always a treat to have something waiting for you when you arrive!
In all, a great value getaway in lovely surrounds.

"It is a very nice place with two pools (one of 4m deep for divers). Staff was very friendly and engaged, everything very clean, many nice accessories and details in the rooms and also in the garden. Unfortunately the Lanseria Airport is nearby, sometimes it is a little bit noisy. Also the last about 500m of the access road are gravel pits. All in all a very good recommendation. We would like to stay here for our next visit in SA."
