"We stayed in Disa Lodge. The Lodge has a great view and Silvermist is well located. The lodge is a great size for a family of 5 with plenty of room and a well equipped kitchen."

"A hidden treasure"

"My boyfriend and i were looking for a sneaky escape from the hustle and bustle of Cape Town, without having to drive for hours to get out of the city. Silvermist gave us exactly that. Nestled snugly in the mountain, overlooking the most magnificent valleys and forests, we soon forgot that we were right outside of the city. The wood fire in the evenings, the private wooden deck around the cabin and the divinely luxurious bed provided the perfect setting for relaxation and tranquillity."

"The views are spectacular. The accommodation is spacious for 2 people and the verandah was well used as the weather turned warm just for our stay in the cottage."

"My wife and I moved from Pretoria to Cape Town and stayed at Silvermist for 3 months (Mar-Apr-May 2007) while we were looking for a house. We stayed in Ridge Lodge, a 2BR cottage that included a lounge with two couches, television, coffee table, dining room, fireplace, and a small but fully functional kitchen. There are a handful of cottages on the property, all unique in construction but similar in feel. Silvermist was very accommodating to our needs. They provided us with an extra small table for our computer (within a day of asking for it), and even added extra shelving for us in the broom closet next to the fridge (within two weeks of asking for it) so we could have more space for food, etc. It was a bit of a unique situation in that we were actually living there for a few months, but I would imagine even staying there for a weekend would be awesome. The view is incredible, the cottages very private, and it's 10 minutes from central Hout Bay, 10 minutes from Kirstenbosch, and 10 minutes from the Constantia shopping centre. We used the outdoor braai often, which was in a private garden area overlooking the valley. The cottage was serviced daily, and the staff were all friendly and helpful. A short walk away is Constantia Nek, where you can hike up Table Mountain - it's easier than it sounds and the views are unbelievable. All around it was a very positive experience and I'd recommend it to anyone."
