Overview
Olievenfontein Private Game Reserve is a stunning self-catering reserve which lies 1500 m above sea level in the breathtaking, malaria-free Waterberg Mountains. The reserve is set in the heart of the Waterberg Biosphere which is protected by UNESCO. It offers unprecedented and spectacular views.

A truly unique experience awaits both the keen outdoor enthusiast and the well-primed city slicker, allowing your senses to be remoulded in the absence of the hustle and bustle of daily life. Olievenfontein offers you absolute peace and tranquillity, allowing you an opportunity to relax and rejuvenate while enjoying the great beauty and splendour that Africa has to offer. Guests can sit back and enjoy a good book while listening to the sounds of almost 350 bird species, or watch the various game species on the reserve.

The untamed wilderness and the magnificent wildlife offerings of South Africa will leave you with a lasting impression. A safari at a reserve of this nature makes for an unforgettable family holiday, which is why we offer guests a pleasurable stay with their children. We offer a host of activities which will keep children occupied and entertained while the rains fall, or even just for them to have their own space while staying with us.

We offer transfers to and from the reserve. This option will allow you and your family to take in the many sites that the Waterberg has on offer, including the renowned Waterberg Meander. We will collect you and your family or colleagues from your preferred location, and transfer you in the comfort of either our VW Caravelle or our Land Rover Defender. Alternatively, we can arrange a private chartered flight, either by helicopter or by light aircraft.

"1st Johan was rude to us on the phone,he said we are wasting his time when we called him to ask for dirdurections from Kranskop as per his instructions, instead of helping us out he asked us where did we stop because it's late,he started telling us the gate closes at 7 mind you the car is moving and we missed the off ramp,my wife was so angry she told him where to get off that's where he started treating us like paying customers,we also recorded the conversation with him on the phonesome how we managed to reach an agreement n he gave us directions and we arrived but we didn't want to go anymore because of the treatment we receivedThe next day we were told the gate closes at 18:00 I mean is this a boarding school or my mamas house? We felt trapped and we were prisoners and I'm sure this doesn't happen to white folks........Stop abusing black people!!!!!"

"It was a lovely relaxing stay. Jeniffer was a perfect host and he views of the trees and hills are breathtakingly.the place was clean and neat. Only the man who works with Jeniffer needs more people skills training as he is not friendly at all."

"We had such an awesome stay. All the staff where friendly and professional. Service was awesome. The unit we stayed in (Wildebeest) was lovely and we had everything we needed. Love the big verandas! The jungle gym right on our doorstep kept our 3 year old busy enough for us to relax. Jennifer arranged for a baby bath and camping cot to be set up in our unit for our 4 month old without us even asking. We did the walking trail, its short enough to do with the kids and we saw some zebra, kudu and giraffe while walking. We booked the special (40% discount) last minute and feel so blessed to have experienced this gorgeous place at a price we could afford."
"Everything."

"Will never return there not worth the price. Owner cannot accept criticism as he always has a defensive answer. This place is definitely not for kids. The accommodation needs fixing and the shower floor in the Zebra lodge has mildew"
