Kanya Lodge is the ideal lodge for a quiet getaway from city life, a privately owned lodge inside the Mabalingwe nature reserve situated 28 km from Bela Bela and 140 km from Pretoria.Tucked away in the bush with four en-suite bedrooms, you can sit on the patio and watch game come right up to the lodge. A private pool, a boma and an open braai facility completes the picture, plus there are bush showers so one can really experience nature. We welcome our guests, but we do request the highest respect for Nature, the animals and our property. Kanya Lodge is unfortunately not available for parties (matriculation parties, year-end parties, bachelor parties, etc.), and no music is allowed, as it disturbs the bush life and the neighbours.Spoil yourself at Kanya lodge for a relaxing and peaceful getaway to the bush!

"We had a wonderful stay at Kanya Lodge. The whole family had a very good time, and the main lodge with 2 separate chalets worked very well for our family set up. The kitchen with big fridges and dishwasher also made our lives much easier. Loads of animals came to visit including a big herd of buffalo, what an experience! We will definitely return soon! Thanks so much Chloe for all your effort with the extra beds for the kids, Dstv card, and later check-out."

"Pragtig plek"

"Die naweek in Kanya Lodge was baie aangenaam en die plek is pragtig. Die twee kamers wat in aparte chalets is is pragtig en maak dit gereiflik vir 'n groep mense wat saam wil kuier maar tog ook 'n bietjie privaatheid verkies.Die vlakvarke en koedoes het by die huis kom kuier.Daar was net 'n insident waat iemand tydens die nag deur 'n oop venster ingekom en 'n kamera gesteel het. Die mense moet net bedag wees daarop."

"What a fantastic family weekend we had. The accommodation was superb, clean, comfortable and well appointed. Our regular daily visitors of Kudu and Warthog came right up to the patio and boma and whilst eating dinner one night, we were lucky to have a breeding herd of elephants visit us. I would highly recommend this lodge to all, close to Johannesburg and Pretoria for a quick weekend getaway. Chloe and Dan, thank you for sharing your place with us!"
