"Disappointing"
28 Jun 2013
By Rob, Australia
"Small room, no real guest lounge as such and owner derided our planned activities which, when we did them, proved stunning. Not a good ad for Capetown.Establishment's responseWe are surprised at this review it was almost dusk when they arrived and they left at about 9.30 a.m. following breakfast. On arrival they said they were happy with the room which does have a separate full bathroom and separate wc.They told us they were going on to Fishhoek and Simons Town prior to going on to stay in Cape Town at no time did we deride their plans. We merely stated that they could do the whole Cape Point and Table Mountain sightseeing tour on the same day advising that it was a good time to be going up Table Mountain as the weather was favourable. With regard to inadequate guest lounge we do have two lounges. An open lounge upstairs with views across False Bay to Table Mountain and our main television lounge and seating area on the ground floor which one has to walk through to go to the dining room.We have a fantastic reputation with our guests for giving helpful, quality advice."
"Very comfortable"

"I enjoyed my stay. The room was clean and warm enough in the cool weather. All the furnishings and fittings are of a high standard and the mattress is not too soft nor too firm. There are toiletries in the bathroom, a hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities with real milk. And the towels are nice and thick. I will definitely recommend this guest house to my colleagues."
