Overview
Perched on a quiet mountainside overlooking False Bay and the Cape Peninsula, Blue on Blue Bed & Breakfast offers 180 degree sea views and superior service in a tranquil setting.

As a small, 3-room establishment, we are uniquely qualified to provide you with a romantic escape and individualized service.

Your upper floor room rises above nearby buildings to overlook the Indian Ocean. Located moments from the beach, we offer an escape from the bustle of the nearby city, while still being conveniently located to enjoy the culture, shopping and nightlife of Cape Town, just 20 minutes away. From September-December, watch whales from the comfort of your room!

Enjoy a hearty breakfast in our dining room, or on the garden patio with a sea view. At the end of the day, return to relax in a deep bathtub.

The lounge features satellite television, a selection of DVD movies, portable DVD player, and a computer with high-speed internet access. Wireless access for laptop computers is also available.

The town of Saint James is ideally situated for visitors to the Cape. Nestled between the Silvermine Mountains and the warm Indian Ocean coastline, it offers one of the most spectacular locations in South Africa.

Saint James is a historically rich area, once considered the Riviera of South Africa where moguls like Cecil Rhodes established vacation homes.

Today, Saint James is home to a diverse community and offers something for the young and old alike -- local nightlife, restaurants, museums, and the areas famous antique shops and art boutiques.

Our particular passion is introducing guests to the work of local artists and making visits to their workshops to learn the process of their craft.

We also offer personalised guided tours to the Cape of Good Hope, Winelands, and other points of interest, as well as airport transfers.

More than a destination, Blue on Blue invites participation. We are proud to donate a portion of our profits to Art Aids Art, a non-profit organisation supporting local education and economic development through the arts.

"We began our stay in the Master Suite which is large enough, allows for leisurely views of the ocean from the well positioned bathtub and shower, charming and enjoyable. In our last night we transferred to the Cape View room-- which after staying in the Master Suite felt much smaller but adequate.Very well located for walks through Kalk Bay and proximity to beaches and lovely surrounds, pleasant and accommodating staff, beautiful views made for a wonderful holiday."

"We felt quite at home. We were attended to by kind people, in a neat and clean, sunny, and charmingly furnished house. The house is decorated in a colourful African style. The lady who helped prepare/organize our delicious breakfast and all of our needs, is very goodhearted. We will remember her as well as Nadheem. A unique fault is that there were no baboons in view; Nadheem would be a special baboon fighter. With this, the whole package would reach perfection."

"Our stay at Blue On Blue was everything that we had hoped for. The views are outstanding and the whales in the bay kept us entertained on a daily basis. Nadeem and Yoliswa went out of their way to be hospitable. The location is perfect with the beach close by and walks into the surrounding towns easily accessible."

"Nicely 'tucked' away establishment nestled in a tranquil setting with a vista of a view. Andre and I had the pleasure of occupying the luxury suite. Highly recommended. Lovely breakfasts with a very personal touch ala 'Chef Nadeem'. We truly enjoyed our stay - the location was perfect and only a brief walk away from the sea. Jacqui and Andre."
"Don't miss the chance to stay at Blue on Blue!"

"I was a bit apprehensive about our journey to South Africa, but our stay at the Blue on Blue was the ideal way to put me at ease at start our two week trip. Before we left the States, we had several email exchanges with Tom who answered all of our questions and assisted us with such things as arranging a ride from the airport to getting us advanced tickets for our Robben Island tour. Once there, it was clear from the first enthusiastic greeting from Nadeem Davids that our stay was going to be terrific, and we surely were not disappointed. Nadeem's help ranged from cooking fabulous breakfasts to helping us when we picked up the rental car. He not only gave us advice for what to see but came with us on two of our day trips. He has a wealth of knowledge and his enthusiasm and love for his country are contagious. To quote Nadeem, we felt that we arrived as guests and left as friends. In addition, the location of the B&B is lovely and well-suited for trips to Cape Town. The room was private, comfortable, roomy, and spotless and the common area allowed for the opportunity to meet with and talk with other guests. In summary, I would highly recommend the Blue on Blue!!"
"Excellent stay. "

"Nadeem was fantastic. Very friendly and his breakfast buffets are superb. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Blue-On-Blue and can only recommend it. It is ideal for St.James station and within easy driving of either the city (25 mins) or Cape Point. We took the train most evenings into Kalk Bay (1 stop) for dinner and walked home (15 mins stroll) on the well lit and well patrolled main street around 10pm.Additional info, as we prefer a twin room, we stayed in Curries Corner, which has private facilities, not en-suite; At first we were slightly hesitant, but needn't have worried as the separate WC and bathroom are directly across a corridor shared with only one of the other rooms from the CC bedroom."
