Situated in the heart of the Cape Winelands at the foot of the Helderberg Mountain, the beautiful setting of Africa Lodge offers you comfortable and stylish accommodation. The swimming pool and large garden are absolutely private and secure off-road parking is available. There are many excellent restaurants in and around Somerset West. Whatever you fancy, we will be delighted to assist you.

All our rooms are African styled with thatched roofs. They are equipped with tea and coffee-making facilities, mini safes, hairdryers and TVs. A refrigerator is available on request. The full Continental breakfast can be enjoyed either al fresco or in the breakfast room. Your hosts will be happy to arrange all of your bookings such as restaurants and tours. We have four en-suite cottages with verandahs and direct access to the lush garden. Our Honeymoon/Family Room has an en-suite bathroom, its own terrace and separate access.

Surrounded by many famous wine estates, Somerset West is the ideal base for exploring the entire Cape Peninsula such as Cape Town with its V & A Waterfront and Table Mountain or the famous Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. Robben Island, The Cape of Good Hope or the penguins in Simons Town are other favourite hotspots. The wine estates of Somerset West, Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschhoek offer great wine tastings. Several golf courses, the scenic beaches of Strand, Gordons Bay, the Garden Route and Whale Route are all within easy reach. Guests can also enjoy golfing, mountain biking, riding, fly fishing, surfing, shark diving, hiking and abseiling.
